Who we are
Flypp is run by an independent sole trader in the UK, trading as Flypp, who is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: info@flypp.co.uk.
Building decks
The editor keeps your decks in your own browser. They are not sent to Flypp unless you publish one as a link. You don't need an account to build, present or export a deck, and an exported file never contacts anyone.
Decks made by an AI assistant
If you ask an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude to make a deck with Flypp, the assistant sends Flypp a description
of it, Flypp makes the deck and hands back a link, and keeps nothing: no copy, no record of who asked.
The whole deck travels inside that link after its #, the part of an address a browser never sends to a server,
so opening it brings the deck straight into your editor. What you tell the assistant itself is between you and the
assistant's maker, under their privacy terms. How to connect one, and what it can make: Flypp for AI assistants.
Accounts
If you sign in, Clerk handles it for us and we keep your account id, email address and plan. We keep a copy of each deck you publish as a link, its preview picture and a count of how many times it was opened. Taking a link down deletes that copy. If you tick “Let viewers make their own copy”, anyone with the link can open a copy of the deck in the editor to change as their own; it is off until you choose it, and their copy is theirs, in their own browser.
Answers on a hosted deck
A deck's author can choose to collect the answers people give on its hosted link: the option picked, the words typed, where a slider was left, whether a switch was on. When they do, the deck says so before you answer.
- Anonymous. Each visit gets a random id so your answers can be counted as one person's. It is not linked to you, your device or your account, and it is forgotten when you close the page. We don't store your IP address or anything else about you with your answers.
- Seen by the author. The person who shared the deck sees totals and can download the answers. Anything you type, they can read, so don't type anything you wouldn't want them to see.
- Sometimes shown to everyone. The author can choose to show a question's totals to everyone with the link — how many picked each answer, and the words people typed, never who said what.
- Kept for up to 12 months. Then they are deleted automatically. The author can delete them sooner, and they go when the link is taken down.
- Only on hosted links. The same deck sent as a file collects nothing.
- Live rooms. When the author presents a deck live, your phone asks every few seconds which screen they are on (and how they have turned any 3D model on it), so it can follow along. That question carries nothing about you, and nothing is kept.
Cookies and tracking
No adverts, no analytics, no tracking. Flypp loads nothing from Google or anyone else: its fonts and code come from flypp.co.uk. The editor saves your work in your browser's own storage, which never leaves your device. If you sign in, Clerk sets the cookies that keep you signed in. Those are needed for signing in to work, so there's no cookie banner to click through.
Where it's stored
Flypp runs on Cloudflare, which stores the database and serves the site. Like any web host, Cloudflare may keep short-lived technical logs to keep the service running and secure.
Questions, or deleting your data
Email info@flypp.co.uk. You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, including your account and everything published from it. If you answered someone's deck and want your answers removed, ask the person who shared it, or email us with the link.
If you're not happy with how we've handled something, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
